About the team

Our Logistics team leads the way in ensuring that our customers have the best possible delivery experience each time they shop with Very.ie, overseeing their order from its origin in Skygate, Very's cutting-edge fulfillment center in Darby, UK, and all the way to their front door across the 26-counties of Ireland. As a member of the Very Ireland Logistics team, you will work with colleagues at Skygate, alongside our delivery partners, Irish Customs, and the Dublin-based Very Ireland team, to deliver on our service promise to customers in an efficient and cost-effective way.

We are in search of a dedicated and proactive Logistics Data Analyst to deliver analytical insights on operational performance, fostering continuous enhancement of our delivery services for our customers.

About the role

  • Create, refine, and implement reporting tools and dashboards to track and share logistics performance metrics.
  • Monitor Logistics KPIs to identify risks and opportunities in service delivery.
  • Provide precise analytical insights for the routine oversight of delivery partners and distribution centers.
  • Analyze logistics performance data to assess strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the supply chain.
  • Suggest innovative solutions to improve Logistics operations and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Logistics Performance Manager, providing analytical support for strategic decision-making on projects and process enhancement initiatives.
  • Improve efficiency and reduce costs for delivery partners and distribution centers.
  • Assist the logistics team in refining the customer delivery and returns process.
  • Provide root cause analyses of Customs and compliance issues to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Conduct quality control reviews for customs documentation related to shipments and returns.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance by managing customs and compliance challenges.
  • Document and outline comprehensive logistics processes/workflows.
  • Manage daily operational discrepancies using established procedures to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to regulations.
  • Represent the Logistics Performance Manager in various meetings and projects as required.

 

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in logistics.
  • Proficient in SQL and advanced MS Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to extract and manipulate large data sets.
  • Adept at effective communication with individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • A deep passion for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a superior delivery experience.
  • An inquisitive and curious mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

1st stage - A 30- minute MS Teams call with the hiring team to discuss your skills and relevant experience and competency-based questions.

2nd Stage – A one-hour formal interview where you can expect both competency and technical questions.
