In Fall 2016, Rent The Runway will be launching its first Southern California store in beautiful Westfield Topanga's "The Village".  Rent the Runway’s retail stores allow clients the opportunity to have a personalized shopping experience with a highly knowledgeable and elevated stylist, by offering our signature Cinderella Experience.  The store concept is an integral part of the future of retail for RTR, providing an upscale offering to every client that comes through the door. We are looking for dynamic, tech- savvy, fashion-advanced, engaging, and energetic leadership to join the team at Rent the Runway, who will consistently deliver outstanding customer service and bring our brand to life. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Transport inventory to and from stockroom and loading dock
  • Unload inventory received from DFC and/or other carriers and check incoming shipments for mishandling and discrepancies
  • Note discrepancies with DFC or appropriate carrier
  • Process and verify inventory receipts against contents and compare through system to validate for accuracy
  • Inspect inbound garments for any imperfections (wrinkles or creases) and steam garments accordingly
  • Process shipments by pulling and packing inventory to support DFC
  • Perform appropriate computer/inventory transactions as required by daily activities
  • Assist in processing of inventory for customers and vendors (courier and dry cleaner)
  • Notify appropriate party of any discrepancies. Utilize inventory management system (such as Mink and WMS) to process basic functions and maintain integrity of inventory by performing weekly cycle counts

Position Requirements:

  • Ability to perform other duties as assigned
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel, and Google Docs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize 
  • Flexibile schedule with ability to work all shifts and weekends if necessary
