About the role
We have a unique opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our Finance Team, based at our Fender EMEA head office in East Grinstead! Reporting to the Financial Manager, this role will have responsibility for preparing, examining and analysing financial performance of Fender EMEA by region, territory and product line.

Main Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and standard operating procedures and identify/establish internal controls and ensure their operating effectiveness,
- Ensure month end accounts are submitted accurately and on time according to specified Corporate formats and deadlines,
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet control account reconciliations to ensure that the accounting records are properly reconciled and that all aged items are resolved in a timely manner, including, but not limited to the following categories:
- Inventory provisions,
- Outbound delivery and costs,
- Inbound delivery and duty costs,
- Standard Cost and Purchase Price Variances,
- Warranty and Returns,
- Warehouse costs
- Produce reports and analytics on the Other COS areas identified above
- Providing variance analysis and commentary for Other COS line items, for inclusion in the monthly reporting pack
- Active involvement in the forecast and budgeting processes for Other COS
- Working with the Logistics team provide support in resolving open issues
- Identify process improvements and implement once approved
- Ad hoc projects and tasks

Person Specification
Essential Skills/Knowledge/Experience
- Part Qualified Accountant,
- Two or more years of experience in product-based company,
- Excellent attention to detail, and high level of accuracy,
- Deadline driven with the ability to remain calm under pressure,
- Comfortable of working with large volumes of data,
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
- Experience of working in a multi-currency environment,
- Advanced excel skills to manipulate volume of information,
- Proactive and inquisitive,
- Multi-tasking, flexible and adaptable.
Desirable Skills/Knowledge/Experience
- Practical experience of all parts of the finance function including statutory and fiscal reporting for companies of a small/medium sized company.

- Knowledge of US/IFRS GAAP
