We are looking for a Manager to help support and grow developers on our Business Applications team. As a Business Systems Manager, you are responsible for helping your developers be successful by setting context, resolving blockers, removing distractions, instituting smart processes, and development of enterprise technology solutions.

The ideal candidate possesses a unique blend of business and technology acumen, big picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. S/he is a strong and innovative leader, with a deep understanding of ERP technologies, enterprise integrations platforms, business applications, and release management. This leader will build efficient business processes to improve end-user productivity and maintain appropriate controls to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX). The candidate must have multiple years of experience leading teams in a fast-paced, technology company with exceptional growth. Responsibilities:

  • Build, collaborates and manage relationships with customers/partners on identification, recommendation and adoption of best practices for small to medium sized projects.
  • Manifests broad domain expertise in business processes and ERP systems.
  • Act as a leader by modeling company values to foster trust within the team and across team boundaries.
  • Manages, sets performance objectives and goals as well as mentors the team to ensure all associates are progressing in their career plans while supporting company goals.
  • Ensure operational excellence and empower the organization to achieve a high level of technical productivity, reliability and simplicity.
  • Foster a positive environment of integrity, empowerment, initiative and teamwork.
  • Be a coach to the engineers on the team, helping them succeed in their current role while preparing them for future roles.
  • Bring a wealth of best practices from past experiences to the team.
  • Function as a stakeholder on projects, participate in management decisions, and issue resolution. Stay informed on ERP technology trends and uses software industry.
  • Participate as a key member of ERP implementation team, minimizing use of external tools and recommending centralized/systemized solutions.
  • Collaborate with SMEs and technical teams to sequence work, develop implementation plans, and produce work effort estimates.
  • Foster a strong and positive work environment that encourages creativity, while maintaining high caliber productivity.
  • Make informed data-driven decisions to build solutions.

 Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Computer Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in implementation, development, process re-engineering and support of Oracle applications suite, including Oracle Financials, which includes all aspects of General Ledger, Sub-Ledger Accounting, Cash Management, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, EB Tax, Credit and Collections.
  • 4+ years of experience with Team Management - experience with leading a team of business analysts and developers, including personnel management and development.
  • Experience of SOX controls, compliance and change management for business systems.
  • 5+ years of application management experience in a medium to large environment with increasing levels of responsibility and complexity of projects and business applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An MBA or a MS in Information Systems is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with implementing and supporting business systems for Order to Cash (order capture/booking, fulfillment, billing, and revenue recognition in a social media or similar “soft” product that be sold self-service (online), or through a sales representative).
  • Experience hiring, mentoring, coaching and developing top engineering talent.
  • Successful track record of managing small teams of engineers to deliver multiple projects on time and with quality.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders.
  • Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
  • Experience working with one or more general purpose programming languages (including Oracle, Java, or Python).
  • Work closely with the Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure alignment of plans and the deliverables of projects (including migration plans and road maps).
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with business practices and cultures across multiple international regions.
