Then the Manager for Recruitment and Employee Relations may be the job for you.

Gas South is looking to hire an experienced individual who finds value in managing the functions of recruitment and employee relations at Gas South. From managing Gas South’s talent acquisition strategy, consulting with employees and leaders on people issues, and designing/updating policies that support our business objectives, this position will play a critical role in the success of Gas South. This position is responsible for providing HR consulting services in the areas of employee relations, leadership and team development, recruitment, employee selection and hiring, and performance management and discipline. This position will work closely with leaders and employees across the organization as well act as an extension of the entire HR team.

Other stuff we like:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, psychology or closely-related field. (PHR/SPHR certification preferred)
  • 3 to 5 years of proven and demonstrated leadership with a proven track record of achieving results through others.
  • Knowledge of local employment laws, rules, and/or regulations affecting human resources administration; ability to develop a broad knowledge of those of the Company
  • Proficiency using computers, specifically Microsoft Office products and HRIS systems
  • Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, matrix organization where the ability to partner, influence, and positively challenge business leaders and stakeholders is necessary to deliver relevant best outcomes
  • Experience facilitating meetings and employee relations issues to productive closure.
  • Experience in change management, with a proven track record in delivering results.
  • Working knowledge or demonstrated ability to learn various HRIS and recruiting systems.
  • Ability to work independently with little oversight.
  • Highly organized and able to coordinate projects and resources using effective project management skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with all levels of management and employees, both internal and external stakeholders.


More details on what you would be responsible for:

  • Manage the daily Human Resources function for the company including recruitment, retention, employment separations, employee complaint investigation, legal investigations, and compliance, and manage Employee Open Door activities.
  • Manage the full life cycle recruitment process for our candidates by working with the recruitment team to evaluate, interview and present qualified candidates to hiring managers and solicit feedback on candidates to refine recruiting strategy as applicable.
  • Review performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and important communications and provide feedback to leaders prior to communicating with employees
  • Provide leadership to HR specialists in the responsibilities of receptionist, conference room set up and maintenance, all catering requests for the company and administrative support for the department.
  • Provide day-to-day coaching and leadership to the HR business partners ranging from employee relations issues, leadership and team development, policy interpretation and application, talent management and development, and organizational effectiveness consultation
  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints timely using informed decision-making skills and escalate more significant issues to the Director of Human Resources for resolution
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues and respective business functions to develop programs and processes that promote a positive work environment
  • Conduct proactive employee relations activities such as structured feedback sessions, engagement surveys, and employee recognition programs
  • Conduct ongoing analysis for our customers on current and future staffing and skill needs and design a talent acquisition strategy to meet those needs.
  • Support the annual HR cycle deliverables to include performance management, merit and bonus awards, benefits enrollment, etc.
