The Manager, Portfolio Marketing’s primary function is to support the Portfolio Marketing Team in their efforts to develop innovative marketing initiatives that elevate the Vox Media brand and reinforce the value of the company’s portfolio. The role oversees the support functions essential to the Portfolio Marketing team’s productivity and facilitates the implementation of strategies and plans for the business as a whole, and the measurement of their progress.

The ideal candidate for this role should be a bold, inventive storyteller, creative thinker, excellent communicator, motivated, and able to tie marketing initiatives back to business objectives. He/she should have a strong project management background and experience in supporting marketing operations functions. This position reports to the Executive Director, Portfolio Marketing and will be based in New York.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage core brand and sales collateral, with responsibility for ensuring materials are up to date and delivered at high-quality level; create and manage a Portfolio Marketing library to ensure easy and up-to-date access to all produced materials 
  • Manage monthly updates to marketing materials with market research, partner and product updates
  • Keep corporate website up-to-date 
  • Work with Product Marketing, Partnerships, Brand Marketing, PR, Vox Creative and Events to deliver orchestrated execution for campaigns, releases, programs
  • Partner with stakeholders to support the development of critical marcom deliverables including but not limited to branding, print and digital advertising campaigns, thought leadership creation and distribution, sizzle reels, event marketing, collateral generation, and customer newsletters
  • Certify key marketing initiatives get carried across all channels (corporate website, customer newsletter and events)
  • Own customer engagement, including but not limited to invites, gifting, client lists and ROI tracking
  • Spearhead and manage rollout of new CRM tool and integrate it with Salesforce
  • Develop and track metrics and success criteria for Portfolio Marketing programs

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4 to 5 years in marketing, media or consulting
  • Exceptional project management, collaboration, problem-solving, organizational, writing and presentation skills
  • Strong interest in digital/social marketing, with a proven track record for digital engagement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated eye for design and creative taste level
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship development and leadership skills 
  • Collaborative nature and deep interest in culture, high-quality journalism, and high-quality technology; highly motivated by insatiable desire to make great things
  • Ability to plan longer term but with a mindset to adjust to take advantage of short term/unforeseen opportunities
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines and multiple requests, work effectively under pressure and within tight timelines
  • Must be comfortable communicating at all levels from C-Suite to junior team members, with cross-functional teams and both internal and external customers
