Manager / Senior Manager, Accounting

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced and motivated Manager / Senior Manager, Accounting ready to join our Finance team? The ideal candidate must have a talent for fostering teamwork and helping to build a world class accounting organization that supports rapid growth. This role provides significant growth opportunity as it encompasses day to day controllership duties, as well as focuses on a number of project based initiatives to scale the consolidated financial reporting process. The candidate should expect to leverage current skill sets while also focusing on learning quickly and adding value to the current processes. This position is a leadership position and will manage a team of Senior Accountants.


  • Manage a small team of Senior Accountants and analysts
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial close process
  • Oversee general accounting functions, including cash, revenue, T&E, fixed assets
  • Identify and implement process and system improvements with the goal of decreasing days to close, while also improving team efficiency and scalability
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies & SOX compliance in areas of responsibility
  • Ensure Company financial records are maintained in compliance with US GAAP and Company policies
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations and other documents to ensure compliance to US GAAP and Company policies
  • Oversee preparation of and reviewing monthly balance sheet flux analysis in areas of responsibility
  • Support internal and external auditors in the periodic review of the Company financial records
  • Manage projects and provide ad-hoc information requests, as needed

Candidate Profile

  • CA
  • 10+ years of experience in Accounting, including Big 4 and industry experience; public company experience preferred
  • 3+ years management experience
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities while consistently meeting deadlines
  • Proven track record of making improvements in all areas of accounting
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working in ERP systems (preferably Oracle and NetSuite)
  • Must be a hands-on leader, have a strong work ethic, excel in a fast-paced environment, and be adaptable to changing responsibilities and priorities
  • Proven leadership skills, combined with the ability to roll up your sleeves and get things done
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to write clear, concise, accurate and polished analyses and presentations
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • A self-starter approach, paired with a passion for collaboration and teamwork
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and produce under pressure
