Manager/Sr Mgr Marketing Analytics and Research

We’re looking for an experienced Creative Director, a creative professional and strong team leader to evolve the visual tone for the Intersection brand and our diverse offerings of products and services. The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative, hands-on visual expert who thrives in a creative and fast-paced environment, and who has a track record of leading teams that produce dynamic visuals across a variety of platforms.

The role reports to the Head of Marketing and Communications, and s/he will be tasked with overseeing the visual output of content across the Marketing, Sales, and Communications teams, including the Intersection website and associated social channels. The Creative Director will also be responsible for leading an internal graphic design team of 4 within in the Marketing & Communications department, bringing department initiatives and concepts to life across multiple platforms and projects.

The ideal Creative Director will be passionate about taking deep dives into developing compelling visual communications strategies for key assignments, and be comfortable interacting with senior leadership. In addition, all Intersection Marketing & Communications team members should be excellent communicators and proactive problem solvers.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Pushing boundaries and exploring new applications of the Intersection brand ethos 
  • Maintaining brand integrity and quality across all company materials 
  • Serving as a key collaborator within the Corporate Marketing & Communications team 
  • Oversee team of four graphic designers 
  • Managing and regularly training all graphics staff members across the 12 offices (requires light travel) 
  • Conceptualization and design of graphic and environmental applications such as corporate identity, marketing and sales materials, environmental design, promotional items, and multimedia interfaces, from concept to completion 
  • Generate visual concepts and design assets that enhance the Intersection brand, including content that supports our thought leadership in publications, at events, in presentation, and on our website and social channels 
  • Conceptualizing, directing, and producing high-level sales presentations 
  • Overseeing and/or developing effective advertising mock-ups for potential and existing clients 
  • Overseeing and/or assisting in graphics production and design of video assets 
  • Planning, setting up, and directing photo shoots 
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest graphics styles, techniques, skills and platforms

Applicant Requirements:

  • 7+ years professional design experience 
  • A minimum of 2 years related media and/or advertising experience 
  • Previous management experience strongly preferred 
  • Comfortable across a wide range of mediums and project types 
  • Proven typography and layout skills 
  • Strong illustration skills; motion graphics a plus 
  • A strong understanding of the print production process and experience managing outside contractors and vendors 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including basic copy editing proficiency 
  • Strong deadline management 
  • Proficient in MAC & PC Platforms, Microsoft Office, additional multi-media programs a plus 
  • Expert in Adobe CS6 or CC, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign 
  • Familiarity with Google Slides and Keynote a plus
  • Bachelor's degree preferred 
  • Familiarity with and a passion for technology, design, media, and urban design a plus
