Job Summary:

As a Manufacturing Engineering Manager for JMA Wireless you will plan, direct, and coordinate a team of Process Engineers/Technicians, Automation Engineers, and Systems Engineers to develop ways to optimize processes and increase capacity in our Liverpool and Syracuse facilities.

Requirements:

  • Evaluation of current equipment, tooling, and spare parts needed to produce components daily
  • Manage annual goals/objectives, performs Personal Development Reviews on direct reports, providing feedback for individual growth and development
  • Contributes to the development and monitoring of operational budget and capital planning through regular analysis of cost and spending
  • Lead and develop ways to increase capacity in the factory through automation and process optimization
  • Facilitate continuous improvement plans/projects to improve KPI’s
  • Report KPI’s to executive management and identify root cause of issues; implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues
  • Work closely with Design Engineering and New Product Development to ensure a smooth transition of new products into production
  • Manage several different high level, multi variable projects at one time through detailed schedule keeping

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of leadership experience supporting a multidisciplinary engineering team
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, engineering technology or technical field with 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing
  • Knowledge of fundamental design practices including problem definition, concept selection, proof of concept, and implementation
  • Strong project management and team building skills who can identify priorities to set direction for team
  • Green belt in Lean Six Sigma preferred
