BuzzFeed is looking for a market editor for a full-time position in the editorial department of our New York office. As a member of BuzzFeed's expanding market section, you will be responsible for helping readers discover new products in a helpful and entertaining way. If you're the type of person who's constantly buying bizarre kitchen gadgets, scouring the internet for coupon codes, or is always the first of your friends to discover a great new store, we'd love to hear from you!

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in one or more of the following categories: Home, Beauty, Women’s Fashion, Men’s Fashion, and Tech/gadgets.


  • Research products in various categories and price points that are of interest to the BuzzFeed audience
  • Assign, edit and write shareable, unique product roundups, short to mid-length reviews and original projects geared towards testing products in multiple categories
  • Use posts' site traffic and affiliate analytics to help drive editorial strategy of team  
  • Manage deadlines and content production of market writers


  • Previous experience writing and editing for a magazine or website about consumer products (or exemplary blogging/writing experience)
  • A positive, curious, playful disposition with a sense of humor
  • Self-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Flawless spelling, grammar, and usage in your writing
  • Genuine love for the internet and online shopping
  • Firm understanding of the BuzzFeed audience and voice
  • Social, SEO strategy, design and/or video skills are a strong plus
