Marketing Analytics Manager

Verisign enables the security, stability, and resiliency of key internet infrastructure and services, including providing root zone maintainer services, operating two of the 13 global internet root servers, and providing registration services and authoritative resolution for the .com and .net top-level domains, which support the majority of global e-commerce.

Verisign is currently in a remote work posture until July 5, 2022.

The Marketing Analytics Manager II will work with key stakeholders across the company to provide data insights that drive efficiency and efficacy across Verisign websites as well as B2B and B2C2B marketing activities.

In this role, you will define key performance indicators (KPIs), use Verisign’s digital analytics data/tools and 3rd party research to conduct analysis and present findings and insights to stakeholders and leaders in the Marketing, Product and Channel (MPC) organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Queries and analyzes complex data sets using Verisign’s data collection, tools, and technologies along with third-party data and research using both standard and innovative methodologies in order to develop actionable insights employing best practices in digital analytics.
  • Develops analyses and surfaces insights to drive customer/visitor engagement, including: KPI deep dives, behavioral clustering, content affinity analysis, customer journey analytics, A/B testing support and analysis, estimations, and forecasts.
  • Defines key performance indicators/benchmarks, measures marketing campaign performance against those goals, and develops insights on areas for improvement to drive optimization of marketing tactics in partnership with marketing team for a variety of websites, campaign sites, and marketing activities.
  • Synthesizes complex reporting and analysis results into easy-to-consume executive level presentations to drive business change and return on investment.
  • Facilitates data democratization through the design and delivery of data visualizations (Tableau) while ensuring adherence to data privacy guidelines.
  • Leads day-to-day collaboration with Marketing and other stakeholders throughout the organization to cultivate relationships, define business problems, develop analytic plans, develop insights, recommend data-driven strategies, and evangelize data-informed decision making

Key Experience Requirements:

  • Strong data analysis methodologies, interpretation, data visualization, and communication skills - Advanced
  • Adobe Experience Cloud/Omniture SiteCatalyst, Adobe Workspace, Adobe DataWarehouse Intermediate
  • Google Analytics, Google Ads - Intermediate
  • Experience with media drivers such as Display, SEM, Social, Content Marketing - Intermediate
  • Understanding and experience with statistical concepts and methods such as regression modeling (linear and random forest), ANOVA, probability distributions, and Hypothesis Testing - Beginning/Intermediate
  • Tableau or equivalent visualization tools - Intermediate
  • Excel and PowerPoint skills - Advanced
  • Excellent understanding of UX concepts, basic website design and development - Intermediate
  • Strong technical understanding of current and emerging internet technologies, digital marketing, market research resources/tools/methodologies, and the operations of a corporate website - Intermediate
  • Experience in at least one advanced analytical area including Predictive Modeling, Optimization, Clustering, Machine Learning or NLP - Intermediate

Programming Languages Requirements:

  • JavaScript - Intermediate
  • SQL for data extraction - Intermediate
  • Python, R for modeling and data analysis -Intermediate

Education and Experience Requirements

  • 8+ years of related experience
  • 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field, or equivalent work experience
