Marketing and Communications Intern

The Marketing and Communications team at Vox Media is looking for someone to help scale and produce content for Vox Media’s corporate social and site presence; supporting our Marketing and Communications Manager, this candidate will play an important role in taking this strategy to the next level. Ideal candidates for this position are passionate about the media, advertising, technology, and all things internet. This is a paid, part-time position without benefits. This intern position would be paid $9 an hour.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Interest in digital media, marketing and PR, and advertising
  • Positive, collaborative attitude
  • Excellent creative writing and editing skills
  • An innate understanding of the subjects and content types that resonate best with a media, advertising, and tech audience on social platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
  • Oversee the maintenance of a content calendar
  • Someone who is incredibly organized and motivated
  • Work closely between MarComs and Editorial
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once
  • Familiarity with Photoshop and GIF creation a plus
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of Vox Media, and each of the Vox Media brands
