Marketing Events Intern

MongoDB is looking for an undergraduate student to join the Marketing team as an intern this summer. The Marketing Events Intern will be responsible for supporting our conference strategy for MongoDB World, our annual global event. This position is an opportunity to become part of a world-class marketing team and learn new skills in an interdisciplinary role, all while having a great time.

Intern responsibilities include:

  • Assist with pre/post promotion of MongoDB events, including email marketing, social media promotion, grassroots marketing, and website updates
  • Participate in planning and execution of event based diversity initiatives
  • Reporting and analysis of events, including reviewing budgets, sales opportunities, ROI, and survey data collection
  • Support conference logistical activities such as registration, badging, posting presentations, team communications, and other tasks leading up to the event day
  • On-site support of MongoDB World, our multi-day global conference in Chicago June 20-21, 2017
  • Organize and analyze post-show data
  • Event setup and maintenance across our various systems: Eventbrite, Eloqua, Salesforce, Google Docs, and Meetup
  • Other related tasks, as necessary and assigned


  • Must be enrolled in an accredited 4-year college program
  • Experience planning events, either on-campus or professionally
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule leading up to MongoDB World (it’s a team effort and a lot of fun!).  Schedule may include some evenings and weekends
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team oriented environment
  • Prior internship experience is a plus
