Twilio is searching for a Marketing Manager to design, develop, and execute go-to-market campaigns to help named channel partners in a sales territory grow business with Twilio and drive channel white space/new account penetration, and build partner-sourced pipeline. This role supports Twilio’s efforts to build a world-class ecosystem of partners, which are highly strategic to Twilio’s long-term direction.

This role will focus specifically on working with sales and Twilio’s partners supporting our GTM programs with sponsorship sales opportunities. The Marketing Manager will work side-by-side on partner strategy, understanding the partner program development, and sales ops for strategic partners to engage with our Field Marketing Events.  


  • Must know how to build strong relationships and trust with sales and partner organizations
  • Expert knowledge of marketing principles, practices, tactics, and tools including campaign/demand generation/go to market strategies
  • Experience in developing and driving consistent channel and field adoption of marketing campaigns
  • Ability to think strategically as well as to act tactically
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and functional disciplines
  • Strong in developing processes and making things programmatic/thinking at scale
  • Ability to balance multiple requirements in a fast paced/unstructured environment required 
  • Experience leveraging PR, analyst relations, and social media for business is a plus
  • Excellent influencing, problem-solving, and consensus-building skills, strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience with project management and working in a cross-functional team
  • Excellent communication skills, strong written and oral skills with strong analytical tendencies and comfortable with public speaking
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to think outside the box and bring creative ideas to the table to support marketing efforts for Twilio and our partner community.
  • Strong Salesforce knowledge preferred
  • Strong excel/google spreadsheet/keynote/ppt knowledge preferred
  • 5+ years of sales, ops, marketing, business development experience or a combination of
  • 5 years experience with campaigns/demand generation programs and three years channel experience
  • Experience working with distribution, solution partners, ISVs, and integrators
  • Experience with Commercial enterprise, mid-market, and SMB customer segments


  • Create and execute comprehensive go-to-market plan (yearly/quarterly) with named partners to  help achieve healthy pipeline coverage for sponsorship sales. (This could include building joint messaging and activities with clear goals for revenue)  Set overall strategic and tactical direction for marketing programs that generate revenue and share
  • Integrate partners into field events, executive programs, calling campaigns, tradeshows, and industry conferences, in specified geography
  • Be a trusted advisor to partners to recommend and drive marketing approaches that will help grow their business and accelerate revenue generation within our GTM activities
  • Collaborate with field marketing and channel sales managers to integrate the partner ecosystem into the regional go-to-market plans and build joint marketing plans  
  • Collaborate with the WW marketing campaign teams to build turnkey programs for partners, and to develop and support the overall WW Sponsorship plan
  • Ability to make decisions regarding process and where to streamline overhead for Twilio and our partners. Build efficient and effective methods to work with channel sales to build partner success and pipeline, as well as provide insight into successes/losses
  • Manage/track budget and spend
  • Measure, analyze, and report on channel pipeline building activities to understand contribution to pipeline health, and to evaluate marketing effectiveness/return on investment
  • Cross functional reporting between marketing and sales activities after events/webinars/campaigns to help calculate ROI from marketing activities
  • Build and deliver detailed reports regarding the health of our sponsorship goals, but also for partner success. How have we helped them win via our programs? What is the partner ROI for investing in sponsorship ( # of leads passed, based on what solution areas, # of wins/losses, pipeline #’s and actual revenue created.)
