We are seeking a Occupational therapy Intern to join our growing multi-disciplinary team!

What will you do?

  • The intern will be responsible for taking data during sessions and completing documentation of those sessions.
  • Observe and participate in the treatment session under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
  • The intern is required to attend a series of weekly staff meetings, such as the DT Team Meeting, Clinical Integration Meetings, and supervision meetings.
  • Perform clerical duties, take memos, maintain files, and organize documents; photocopy, fax, etc. as needed.
  • Assist in preparing information and materials for treatment sessions.
  • Assist in maintaining equipment and materials for the DT team.

 What's required?

  • Currently enrolled in an institution of higher learning 
  • Ability to interact with children of a variety of ages and be both engaging and fun
  • Willingness and patience to support children who may be engaging in challenging behaviors
  • Ability to be flexible and “think on your feet”
  • Ability to communicate positively and effectively to families and co-workers
