Operations Head - Table Reservation

Build seamless and scalable operations for our Table Reservations business by leveraging technology, to ensure a great user and merchant experience.

About Table Reservations:

Zomato launched Table Reservations in July, and is currently live across 9 cities in India, UAE and Australia, already growing at over 50% month over month. We have big plans for Table Reservations with several cities to be launched with major room to grow in our existing markets. As the Operations Head for Table Reservations, you will play a critical role in scaling up the business and working with multiple partners to shape the user and merchant experience. You will also be working with the core build-team of the business to improve operational efficiency. This role provides you an opportunity to make a huge impact on one of our youngest businesses today.

 

As TR Operations Head, what will you be responsible for?

  • Leading the operations team with the aim of setting up and scaling up processes to deliver targeted user experience KPI’s - turn-around time per booking, merchant acceptance rate, user NPS, etc.
  • Managing third party relationships (outsourced partners) and improving efficiency in their operations while ensuring delivery against all pre-defined metrics  
  • Driving product and process enhancements to remove manual intervention in booking confirmation for users  for majority of incoming bookings - this will be one of the key KPI areas for this role   
  • Solving for system level bottlenecks / issues - root cause assessment followed by design and delivery of short term fixes and medium term solutions for the same
  • Effectively communicating across internal teams  to help maintain seamless operations on a day-to-day basis
  • Effectively hiring and scaling up the operations team, on need basis
