About Wikibuy

Wikibuy is an extremely ambitious startup working on a new consumer product that seeks to change the way people buy things online.

We are a fast-paced, get-stuff-done team solving a difficult problem in a unique way. Over the last year, we’ve built a product that has gained material investor support and traction with customers. You will be joining a highly experienced team that has successfully started businesses like 1800 Contacts and Glasses.com and that has worked at companies like Google, Apple, and LinkedIn.

 

Key Responsibilities

As an Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks centered around Wikibuy’s order management and customer experience.

  • Providing extraordinary customer service to Wikibuy customers via multiple communication channels
    • > 75% of your day will be spent troubleshooting customer inquiries and responding to customer tickets with a great attitude
  • Processing customer orders using in-house order management system
  • Interacting with vendors and customers daily through phone, email, and chat
  • Investigating and solving customer issues as they arise
  • Classifying and analyzing orders
  • Escalating problems/bugs with engineering and product teams
  • Communicating with business stakeholders and making recommendations to drive operational performance
  • Various other tasks in support of engineering, product, business and analytics teams

  • Track record of teamwork - we’re a small team and everyone rolls up their sleeves to help each other get the job done
  • Comfortable with ambiguity - as a startup, things are constantly changing at Wikibuy and each week brings a new set of challenges
  • Strong communication skills - ability to clearly communicate complex issues
  • Ability to operate a wide range of nerf guns
  • College experience strongly preferred
  • Willingness to work some non-traditional hours - we take pride in taking care of our customers and this often involves work outside normal work hours
