The Payroll Administrator role will be critical to executing our company-wide employee growth initiatives, and will provide excellent support to our employee base. The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for the preparation of semi-monthly and monthly payroll for over 750 employees in 19 countries.  This role reports to the Sr. Manager, People Operations.


  • Prepare semi-monthly and monthly payroll for our Global operations
  • Review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets; track and deduct all voluntary and involuntary payroll deductions; process any employee status changes, tax changes, commissions, referral rewards, and bonus payments
  • Handle onboarding data entry in all HR systems (ADP, SuccessFactors, MongoDB Cop, and the department control spreadsheet)  
  • Maintain employee records in all HR Systems; ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis; ensure accuracy of payroll data in our HRIS
  • Prepare timely and accurate annual reporting to meet various local, state, and international requirements
  • Ensure we are meeting annual compliance requirements; conduct annual audits and year-end compliance reporting
  • Manage payroll vendors and payroll interfaces to benefits providers
  • Work with payroll vendors to setup new payroll branches, payroll registration offices or entities
  • Prepare and file tax reports, gather payroll data for inclusion in financial statements
  • Assist the People Ops team with mass employee changes and data clean-up
  • Assist Finance with reconciling payroll related and general ledger accounts
  • All other duties and responsibilities, as assigned


  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, Google Applications
  • 3+ years of US payroll experience; International payroll experience is a plus
  • Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other relevant major
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding payroll, benefits, and employee issues
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
  • Experience with ADP WFN and SuccessFactors
  • Understand payroll and HR legislation and processes ie. interpretation of legislation and taxes
