As a Payroll and Benefits Specialist, you live payroll and payroll systems and breathe benefits and benefits administration. You pride yourself in delivering an exceptional quality of work and challenge yourself to be consistently accurate. You build strong relationships through each interaction you have and enjoy being the “go-to” person for sensitive questions.  As an articulate and empathetic professional, you thrive working in a highly motivated team. You are committed to process improvements and never shy away from providing your input. You practice spreadsheet wizardry and have mastered features such as Pivot tables, Vlookup, and If-functions. Finally, you are are a delight to work with and a rock-star at what you do!

You will contribute by:

  • Processing full-cycle payroll for Canadian and US employees
  • Administering and maintaining all Canadian and US benefits
  • Managing time and attendance administration for hourly staff
  • Maintaining payroll records
  • Managing year end process
  • Ensuring government reporting and remittance requirements are met
  • Maintaining headcount tracking for financial forecasting

And that’s where you come in...

Adding to the mix, your background should include:

  • 3+ years of applicable payroll and benefits experience with comprehensive knowledge of Canadian and US payroll regulations (California and Texas preferred)
  • A diploma or degree in business administration or related field, with some accounting courses
  • PCP or CPM preferred
  • The ability to stay focused and calm under pressure
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
  • A sense of humour!
