About the Role

Samsara is looking for a People Data Coordinator to join our team! In this role, you will ensure data integrity throughout our people systems and processes. Your main priority will be to own a variety of audit processes to ensure that the right data is going into each of our systems.

About You

You have excellent customer service skills, build rapport quickly with employees, and have outstanding attention to detail when managing data entry. You are passionate about clean data and its ability to drive effective decision-making. You’re process-driven, solution-focused, and are great at building relationships across teams.

In this role, you will: 

  • Data Integrity: Own audits of all employee data moving through our HRIS system
  • Offboarding: Own internal exit process when an employee leaves Samsara
  • Total Rewards: Support employee benefits, compensation and equity administration 
  • Employee Support: Respond to incoming questions and feedback from employees
  • Special Projects: Assist other People Operations staff with special projects on an as needed basis.

An ideal candidate has:

  • 1+ years experience in HR/Payroll/Operations; preferably in fast-growing, global companies
  • 1+ years experience working with HRIS systems (preferably Workday)
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and judgment; ability to make sound decisions independently; solutions-oriented; thrives in ambiguity
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, proven ability to design and communicate clear processes, and a detail-oriented yet flexible approach to problem solving
  • Impeccable discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent self-management and interpersonal skills
  • Strong bias for action and not afraid to “roll up your sleeves”

Regarding COVID-19

With the spread of COVID-19, Samsara's global offices will remain closed until further notice with the exception of employees that require access to hardware and lab equipment. 

Our primary concern is for the health and well-being of our employees as well as candidates. We have transitioned all interviews and onboarding to be conducted virtually via Zoom video conferencing. Employees are also able to work from countries and states where Samsara is a registered entity through June 2021. All employees are expected to return to our offices when they reopen with the exception of field-based roles.
