Listening to and engaging all employees in any organisation can be a challenge, but particularly when your workforce is dispersed across multiple locations. Whilst our front line teams are working hard to feed the nation, we are busy modernising our people engagement and communications strategy to continue to improve the people experience.

We have an exciting opportunity for a People Engagement Specialist to join our newly created People Experience Team who, working closely with the Global Culture and Engagement Team, are on a journey to find new ways to listen and engage with all employees.

This role is all about helping to drive the implementation of Ocado Logistics’s listening strategy further into our operational world, and underpinning the roll out of Peakon, our new listening tool, to our front line employees. We are working towards increasing and maintaining employee engagement to enable, promote and inspire both individual and business success.

What will you be doing?

  • Building relationships and collaborating across Logistics to identify and quantify the specific employee engagement requirements of differing business areas
  • Work closely with the Group Engagement team to utilise their specialist knowledge and ensure our strategies are aligned
  • Upskill, inspire and enable managers to engage teams locally
  • Analyse and draw meaningful insights from listening and engagement data, and present to key stakeholders
  • The day to day running of Peakon including access requests, queries and stakeholder communication
  • Support the People Comms and Engagement manager in researching, proposing, and implementing listening mechanisms throughout the whole employee journey
  • Aid informed People Function decision making with data
  • Establish yourself as the trusted advisor to your internal customers on people engagement by educating on new external engagement thinking and practices
  • Suggest new and different ways of working to complement our overall Logistics strategy (for a non-office based dispersed workforce) as we grow and diversify

About you..

  • You will have experience administering employee survey tools, and and understand listening / communication activities that drive employee engagement
  • Be comfortable analysing and reporting on data to demonstrate trends and ROI
  • Previous experience working with and / or communicating with non-office based dispersed workforces would be advantageous
  • Demonstrate the ability to work,communicate, with, and present effectively to people at all levels from hands on operational workforces to senior stakeholders
  • Strong commercial awareness and business savvy
