People Operations Specialist – maternity leave substitute

What is the role about?

You’ll be responsible for providing a great employee lifecycle experience from onboarding to offboarding-related practical tasks. In addition to supporting employees, you will be supporting our managers with the HR practices that have a high impact on employee satisfaction.

Our People Operations Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day personnel service. You provide help related to HR policies, practices, and Collective agreement. You also assist in HR processes and reporting by providing requested data on demand e.g. tracking vacation balances or other employee related data. 

Your responsibilities in a nutshell:
1.      Responsible for onboarding and off-boarding, and take care of the practicalities
2.      Ownership of the HR mailbox. You are the HR touchpoint during the employee lifecycle, and help employees and managers in day-to-day matters.
3.      Benefits administration
4.      Ownership of the HRM data and it’s quality
5.      Developing HR-related processes, for example onboarding process and documentation
6.      Take part in HRIS renewal processes locally

You will be a part of our awesome local People and Culture team. We have good team spirit and open atmosphere. Our current People Operations Specialist Jenni, on who’s shoes you are stepping into, will onboard you to the role together with other team members.

What do we expect:

Understanding HR practices are key to succeed in this role, hence we hope you to have some experience in relevant HR role, such as HR coordinator or HR specialist.
Also, strong Finnish and English are required both written and spoken.

Start: Possibility to start in April, yet on the latest in May
Work extent: Temporary position, 1 year contract – full time.
Location: Oulu, Helsinki, Jyväskylä, Uusikaupunki or Turku
