THE ROLE

The People Ops Manager is the face of ADVOC8’s People Ops Team in our Charlotte location, where our fulfillment warehouse is based, but serves as an HR generalist across +DROP, our Brand Merchandise division. Building great company culture, supporting team development, and providing best in class customer service are highly valued by the ideal candidate. The People Ops Manager provides support which includes but is not limited to, recruitment, onboarding support, engagement program execution, internal event preparation, data entry, office management, and other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with high energy and foster the ADVOC8 brand. This hybrid role is full time and will require at minimum three days per week working in our Charlotte, NC location.

Our Brand Merchandise Operation, +Drop, specializes in out-of-the-box and unexpected moments. We design, produce, and fulfill unboxing experiences of branded merchandise and custom products that are big, bold, creative, and game-changing. Anybody can slap a logo on a t-shirt. We can make it an experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide Hiring and Recruitment support, including marketing open positions, scheduling interviews, coordinating with contract recruiters, and conducting screening interviews
  • Coordinate and lead new team member onboarding sessions, including welcome sessions, brand introductions, and platform trainings
  • Develop and execute HR Programming, including performance management and employee engagement programs
  • Maintain employee data and reports
  • Handle employee-related inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs
  • Respond to employment verifications
  • Assist in providing resources for company leadership and team members in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Support office management as needed, including receiving and distribution of internal mail
  • Assist in communication and planning
  • Ensure managers and employees follow handbook policies
  • Keep current with local laws and regulations, company standards, and OSHA/CDC guidance
  • Assist with maintaining I-9 Forms
  • Assist with paperwork, files, and documents
  • Data Entry
  • Perform file audits
  • Other duties, special projects, and reporting as assigned

Requirements

  • 4 years of relevant HR experience preferred
  • 6 years of prior work experience
  • Prior recruiting and customer service experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office
  • First Aid Certification is a plus
  • Warehouse experience is a plus
  • Adaptable by nature, responsibilities will shift as the company grows
  • Ability to effectively learn how to navigate a Human Resource Information System (HRIS), iSolved experience a plus
  • Ability to organize, plan and prioritize various work assignments and tasks
  • Strong communication skills
  • Motivated individual who is willing to learn
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain computerized filing system
  • Display high degree of integrity and the ability to maintain confidential information
  • Experience interviewing candidates is a plus

This position is based in our Charlotte-area warehouse facility, and candidates will be required to work at least three days per week in the warehouse offices. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US, at this time we are not able to provide sponsorship.
