In this role you will
- Develop and maintain Perl-based web applications, scripts, and tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test software solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Perl code.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring the reliability and performance of applications.
- Work on database integration and data manipulation using Perl.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Perl trends and best practices.
- Contribute to the improvement of coding standards and development processes.
What you will bring
- Proven experience as a Perl Developer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Perl programming language.
- Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Strong knowledge of database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of other programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++).
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Experience with Perl web frameworks (e.g., Dancer, Mojolicious).
- Previous work on data analysis and manipulation using Perl.
- Contributions to open-source Perl projects or a strong GitHub profile.
