Roles and Responsibilities

•Responsible for purchasing targets and reviews - and therefore joint responsibility with the buyer for sales, margin and stock levels
•Management of the Open-to-Buy to drive sales, stock turn, and gross margin
•Responsible for automated replenishment of timeless SKUs
•Building and generating weekly reporting to assess trends and TY v LY, and TY v Plan – at aggregated levels like category, fabric, location etc
•Create and present analyses and reports to all levels within the company
•Ensure forecast accuracy each month, season, and year
•by category, season and location
•ability to liaise with other teams (retail, finance, etc.) in order to tally merchandise plans to corporate plans
•Collaborate with buyer in order to develop sound exit targets and strategies, ensure in stocks in key initiatives and drive sell-through on seasonal product
•Inform in-season business changes and action plans
•Introduce and manage bonus schemes
•Plan and review seasonal and category strategies through buy reviews
•style-colour option targets/suggestions on season, category, fabric, colour and price tier
•review purchases with merchants against the OTB to highlight sales risk or potential inventory liabilities before the PO is placed
•Owning the merchandising calendar (major inventory drops, public holidays, marcom activities, etc) and using it to predict opportunities and liabilities
•Building sales plan by category, class, fabric and location at a weekly level
•Ability, with growth, to manage Assistant Planner(s) and Associate Planner(s) and delegate
