AHEAD’s Pre-Sales Specialists are the technical experts that collaborate with our AHEAD account teams to help identify, qualify, and build solutions that support our customer’s Digital Business transformation. 
 
The AHEAD Pre-Sales Specialist Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of AHEAD’s Pre-Sales Specialists.  The responsibilities will include working closely with the regional Managing Directors to drive sales campaigns focused on our portfolio of products and services.  This individual will also be responsible for driving the creation of their team’s Go-to-Market (GTM), developing and maintaining relationships with focus partners, and creating awareness of AHEAD’s solutions and services, while working closely with current and perspective customers to determine how AHEAD can best serve their initiatives.  Additionally, this individual will be accountable for leveraging key metrics to drive and monitor team performance, identify high performers for future leadership roles, and work cross functionally with other departments within AHEAD. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of cross functional Pre-Sales Specialists with expertise that spans multiple technology platforms 
  • Develop and drive the Go-to-Market plan for the team’s aligned technology domains 
  • Lead internal marketing efforts to communicate to the AHEAD account teams our services offerings and key differentiators 
  • Articulate AHEAD’s framework, value proposition, and engagement approach from a technical and business perspective to customers and strategic partners 
  • Collaborate with the AHEAD regional Managing Directors to assist in the development and execution of sales plays leveraging our Pre-Sales Specialists and solutions portfolio 
  • Responsible for career development of the team, including providing ongoing coaching and professional development to enhance their solution knowledge, technical acumen, and pre-sales skillsets 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key manufacturer channel, product management, and engineering, and field leadership resources 
  • Foster and maintain key relationships with our strategic customer stakeholders and project sponsors 
  • Responsible for managing key metrics to monitor and drive the team’s performance 
  • Partner with our practice leaders to continuously improve our offerings based on market demands, technology advancement, and client innovation 
  • Consistent collaboration with Delivery leadership on pipeline and the progress of sold engagements 
  • Ensures continuity between Pre-Sales, Delivery, and the Customer for sold engagements 

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience successfully managing and building high performing teams of technical sales professionals 
  • Highly knowledgeable of the key technologies we support with at least 5 years of experience architecting solutions 
  • Experience developing and driving successful Go-to-Market plans 
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience in one or more of the following: 
  • Healthcare applications such as Epic 
  • Public cloud integration 
  • Automation technologies 
  • Cloud data protection 
  • Customer focused and results oriented with strong interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent presentation skills, comfortable presenting to customers at both the technical and executive level 
  • Understands how to tie technology back to solving business needs and outcomes 
  • Ability to motivate others to achieve results 
  • Able to work well within the team, across practices, and with partners 
  • Able to work within customer deadlines  
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time across the US
