Principal Engineer (Electrical)

£70,000 - £90,000 + company bonus + pension
What you’ll do in your role as Principal Engineer (Electrical)
- Responsible for establishing the engineering functional strategy for engineering project delivery and performance across the group
- Develop technical skills for the discipline of regional engineering teams
Lead in the support, guidance, and mentoring team members as required
- Identifying operational improvements within the engineer’s discipline, to improve delivery within the discipline
- Shape and deliver the Engineering Strategy for the Business
- Independently audit and review projects to ensure appropriate level of engineering resourcing, monitor progress, and ensure compliance to local and internal standards
- Review of Serious Event Notifications and provide feedback and recommended actions for all regions.
- Independently facilitate site audits to collect information on operational performance and establish best practices
- Provide group technical input for business acquisitions
- Actively involved in raising company profile in professional arena

Who you are
- Expert understanding of engineering design and application of processes within the Engineer’s discipline
- Comprehensive understanding of design of other disciplines
- Degree level Electrical engineering or other relevant qualification(s)
- Extensive and proven experience of working in operational/chemical/processing environment
- Detailed knowledge of local Industrial electrical standards
- Experience of managing engineering projects from concept to delivery
- Experience of chemical processing plant lifecycle management
