The Role

ALL.SPACE is seeking an exceptional Sales Engineer to join our Sales Engineering team. The Sales Engineering team is responsible for technical product introduction, sales, and onboarding of new and existing customers. In this role, you will support the embedded development of ALL.SPACE's technology and assist customers in the configuration and adoption of newly finished ISL products. As a member of the Sales Engineering team, you will leverage your experience of embedded hardware & software to provide technical support, develop applications, and deliver field demonstrations in support of product sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively onboard new partners and work with the sales directors and customer account managers to respond to technical questions from both existing and prospective customers
  • Prepare, update, and deliver professional training materials to ALL.SPACE customers and channel partners
  • Troubleshoot customer and channel partner designs and systems, including software/hardware integration and interactions between them
  • Work with channel partners to ensure ISL best practices are being communicated and followed
  • Relay technical information from customers and channel partners to both technical and non-technical stakeholders within ISL to improve product offerings
  • Improve and develop test tools to remove technical barriers to customer adoption
  • Investigate, document, and coordinate product issues with other departments to ensure problems are addressed quickly and customer impact is minimised
  • Act as an escalation point for the Customer Support team in diagnosing and ultimately resolving client issues
  • Prepare, update, and maintain high quality technical documentation

Requirements

Key Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently at customer sites to investigate, diagnose, and resolve problems
  • Must have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively across internal and external organisations
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies, learn quickly, and shift priorities in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage obstacles and address multiple and sometimes conflicting demands
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, composure, credibility, and enthusiasm and positively influence others
  • Ability to take complex technical topics and explain them to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and applications Experience & Education Requirements / EEO
  • Bachelors degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering required; Masters degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience working in an Electronics/Electrical Engineering, sat-com Engineering, Sales Engineering, or related role is required

Desirable:

  • Satellite-based designs
  • Implementing industry standard protocols
  • Experience and/or knowledge of the following is a plus:
    - Working with laboratory equipment for testing and troubleshooting to the component leve
    - Understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals (DNS, FTP, SSH, IP CONFIG), network architecture, and connectivity troubleshooting
