Process Governance Lead

The transformation within our people function was led and supported by the implementation of Workday with core HCM successfully embedded for our UK population. We have a phenomenal pipeline for growth within Workday and other HR systems which is now creating new opportunities within the team.

The Process Governance Lead will join the Group People Operations team within our people function who are positioning itself to ensure it has the right structure, talent, skills and capabilities to continue to support the ambitions of the business as its people engine room.

As our Process Governance Lead you will be accountable for the oversight, controls (and yes, governance) of tools such as Workday and Navigate, as well as our iconic people products (e.g. Peakon, People Academy).  You will focus on development of change processes and optimisation, ensuring controls are seen as facilitating change, not introducing red-tape.  We need to ensure we are streamlining our range of services so we continue to meet the needs of our business and people, as we scale up internationally. 

Influencing, agility and resilience is key to this role as you will be accountable driving continuous improvement culture and interact with stakeholders to create an execution capability that is focused on delivering value and sustaining performance levels.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead a detailed process review and workflow mapping exercise in Navigate.
  • Coordinate the activity of detailed process revision and updates to Shared Services process documents and templates. 
  • Coordinate completion of training sessions and training materials based on the service process review, mapping and recommending process changes. 
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to monitor, measure and where relevant refine the effectiveness and performance of the new service processes.
  • Chair governance meetings to control and direct the People Portfolio delivery.  
  • Lead, motivate, develop and engage the team to deliver success and help to create and sustain a high-performing team dedicated to continuous improvement and excellence.
    Ensure strong collaboration with the Process Design team. Foster an innovation and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ownership of team SLA compliance and delivery.  Develop and review standard workflows and process maps where appropriate across all aspects of Operational Excellence.  
  • To drive the  continuous improvements of processes with the use of data analytics, with a strong focus on optimisation of technology enablement. 
  • Partner with key clients and stakeholders to influence and provide solutions.
  • Ownership of team SLAs and metrics. To be data driven in decision-making and analytical thinking with the ability to convert data into insights and solutions

About you

  • Prior experience of Process Governance and HR process improvement. 
  • Expertise in people systems technology, in particular Workday, Tableau, Navigate (Nimbus)
  • Extensive process mapping and lean methodologies experience
  • Strong use of data insight to drive change
  • Confident approach to IT systems such as Google Apps, excel, mail merge and Powerpoint 
  • Demonstrate communicating and influencing people across multiple business areas from operational workforce to senior stakeholders.
