Product Designer [Remote]

  • JOB TYPE: Freelance, Contract Position (no agencies/C2C - see notes below)
  • LOCATION: United States and Canada only (Time Zone: CST | Partial overlap)
  • HOURLY RANGE: Our client is looking to pay $90-$100/hr
  • ESTIMATED DURATION: 40hr/week - long-term



  • Familiarize self with products, technologies, process and purpose

  • Serve as a dedicated designer for a product development team.

  • Drive the design phase using the Shape Up process

    • Design and iterate on lo-fidelity and/or high-fidelity designs to communicate concepts
    • Deliver final designs in Figma
    • Great presentation skills - Facilitate conversations with Product Management, Tech Leads and other designers

    • Research and discovery activities as needed

  • Support developers during the building phase to refine and review designs prior to release

    • Provide guidance on copy

    • Review and test

  • Divergent concepts (low-fidelity)

  • Convergent concepts (high-fidelity)

  • Microinteractions

  • In-app UX Copywriting

  • Collaboration w/ Dev team

  • UX Review & testing prior to release

  • Prototypes

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Conduct a range of design techniques from concept to validation

  • Efficiently run with a project with minimal supervision

  • Employ storytelling skills - you should be able to clearly articulate your idea and persuade others both verbally and in writing

  • Demonstrate a self-motivated, Design thinking approach to solving product problems 

  • Preferably bring knowledge of accessibility best practices, Google Analytics, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Very comfortable using Figma in a design team environment

  • Bonus: Preferably know how to work in Shape Up work cycles

Our client help players and coaches develop a lifelong passion for the sport through digital products that serve every age and skill level. Their goal is to provide the best in class digital products for golfers to grow the game for all who want to play.

They are looking to hire thoughtful, empathetic, and flexible designers to be part of the design team. You will create delightful products that will positively impact tens of thousands of golfers on a regular basis. They're constantly leveraging technology to a classic sport and your challenge is to combine those things to create on-brand experiences that their users trust, love, and can't live without.

As the Coach and Consumer Technology team, their mission is to provide digital tools and services to help connect Teaching Professionals to the modern golfer. Their main product is the Coach, a platform for online scheduling, event management, and more. 

Their team is looking for a Product Designer to be a key contributor to the design of new features and enhancements to one of their products.



  • Serve as a self-starting, dedicated product designer in a product development team

  • Translate problems and business requirements into flows and maps

  • Create and iterate solutions from ideation to high fidelity designs in Figma

  • Effectively communicate designs to engineering, product, and business stakeholders

  • Create content as needed as part of development process

  • Participate in reviewing and testing designs with each release

  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to improve our digital products, including websites and mobile apps

  • Occasionally support generative and evaluative research with players and professionals

  • Participate in growing a vibrant and long lasting design culture within the organization

  • At least 4-5 years of digital product design experience

  • A portfolio showing a sample of your high-quality product design work and process

  • Experience in creating complex, integrated digital product suites
