The Product Manager role in Aprinnova will perform all the critical functions necessary to align product characteristics with customer and market requirements and communicate these characteristics broadly internally and externally to customers, distributors, and other interested parties. 

Internally, this individual will work closely with:
•Supply Chain to ensure production plans meet mix and volume requirements
•Quality to align specification with customer requirements
•Regulatory and Safety teams to ensure product compliance with global requirements
•Sales and Commercial teams to support revenue growth efforts

Externally, this individual will work closely: 
•with global Distributors as the primary communication channel for product, technical, and regulatory requirements and information
•directly with selected customers in a capacity similar to distributors
•NGOs to obtain and maintain product certifications
•third party contract research and testing organizations to provide necessary technical data

The Product Manager will have the following responsibilities:

1. Provide technical support to current and prospective customers in N. America, Europe, and LATAM.
•Develop and maintain the technical and regulatory database
•Providing customers and distributors technical and regulatory information needed to progress projects with Aprinnova materials through their development and launch in a timely manner
•Understanding customer technical, quality, and regulatory requirements and sponsoring internal and external programs to generate the appropriate information
2. Provide attentive customer service to our distributors and direct customers
•Support Amyris internal Customer Service and Supply Chain groups in the order entry process and address and respond to customer questions
•Proactively address and resolve any disruption in delivery and quality with customers 
•Provide forecasts to Supply Chain on customer requirements and packaging mix 
3. Distributor support at the customer interface 
•Meet with distributors and their customers to address product, supply, and/or regulatory issues
•Train distributors in new information pertaining to Aprinnova products.
4. Provide direction to the internal groups to ensure activities are aligned with market requirements and policy is communicated to distributors and customers
•Set the agenda and follow up on activities generated at the weekly Regulatory meeting.
•Set the agenda and follow up on activities generated at the weekly Supply Chain meeting.
5. Align market needs and manufacturing planning to ensure customer’s volume requirements and delivery expectations are met. 

The individual in this role should possess sound technical product and market understanding, excellent communication skills, and have the ability to work independently in a challenging and fast paced environment.



  • The ideal candidate will possess the following educational and professional profile:
  • BS in a scientific discipline, preferably Chemistry or Biology
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in marketing, sales, and/or R&D in the B2B Personal Care of other Life Science related industry
