About the role

As a Product Manager who is focused on growth and profitability, you will invent and implement initiatives that lead to better conversion, help fight fraud, improve customer retention, and hit loss ratio targets. You will own and evolve the insurance product for assigned states; work closely with claims and actuarial teams to identify and act on trends; and define and own key performance metrics relating to the insurance book.

You will

  • Launch new states to fuel growth
  • Manage existing programs to drive profitability
  • Own countrywide underwriting function
  • Work closely with actuarial, legal, claims, and engineering teams to deliver innovative insurance products
  • Perform competitive analysis

About you

  • 8+ years experience owning auto insurance products
  • Data driven: you love working with data, and have previously utilized quantitative analysis to identify product opportunities and issues
  • Teamwork and collaboration: you work effectively with various teams, and have successfully created jointly owned goals and metrics
  • Excellent communication skills: you communicate with and present effectively to different audiences (e.g. engineers vs salespeople)
  • Startup mentality: you love working in a fast-paced, iterative, and innovative environment; you move fast and motivate others to act quickly
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (math, statistics, actuarial science or similar) required; MBA/Master’s degree preferred
