Position Overview

Aclima seeks an empathetic software Product Manager who is passionate about advancing environmental awareness through technology. Aclima’s software systems process, store, analyze, and visualize the massive datasets we collect. The position is responsible for the data experience of all internal and external engineers, scientists, leaders, and citizens who use an extensive suite of Aclima software tools and APIs to visualize, interact with, and analyze this mass of data. The Product Manager will report directly to the Director of Product.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Requirements collection and prioritization

  • Employ empathic design principles to understand internal and external user experience needs
  • Craft clear product requirements and facilitate buy-in from all stakeholders
  • Prioritize development roadmap to support immediate needs and strategic investments
  • Champion development roadmap with all stakeholders

Product development and launch

  • Coordinate cross-functional development and design teams to implement new experiences and ensure needs are met, using Agile sprints or similar processes
  • Launch product and feature releases to users
  • Champion development process best practices and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

  • Passion for Aclima mission and sensory science technologies
  • Fantastic listener/observer skilled at drawing out and crystallizing user needs
  • Exceptional communicator to both technical and non-technical audiences, written and verbal
  • Skill planning, prioritizing and executing in a fast-paced environment with high ambiguity
  • Strong personal initiative and ownership mindset
  • 4+ years software development and/or software product management, including exposure to agile development methodology or similar
