Product Manager - PopJam

This is a key role within a fast-growing, international technology business based in London. SuperAwesome (@GoSuperAwesome) is the largest kids digital marketing platform in the world, reaching over 250 million kids each month across mobile, web and online video.

PopJam is a revolutionary mobile social sharing app for kids (7-12) that encourages creativity, sharing and provides a truly kid-safe social networking alternative. Top kids’ content brands like Disney, Puffin Books, Roald Dahl and Nintendo, as well as social media celebrities like Dan & Phil and AmyLee33 safely engage with thousands of kids on PopJam every day.

Due to rapid growth of the PopJam business and our recent launch of PopJam in the USA, SuperAwesome are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic Product Manager to join the team. Working as part of the SuperAwesome Product team and closely with the PopJam editorial and community team, the Product Manager will be responsible for defining, prioritising and overseeing the implementation of features and functionality of the PopJam app.

Responsibilities

  • Own the entire product feature lifecycle, from strategic planning to tactical activities.
  • Manage the product and feature releases for PopJam in all markets. This includes discovery, requirements gathering, specifications and prototypes, and the ongoing maintenance of product requirements as the business context evolves.
  • Work directly with stakeholders throughout the company to ensure that a successful product is delivered.
  • Work closely with the software engineers to communicate product requirements, manage the backlog, make trade-offs, and oversee the product implementation and testing process.
  • Work with the UX/UI and design teams to innovate and perfect the user experience for kids using PopJam.
  • Work with the commercial team to understand marketing plans and strategy and ensure the app, partner editorial tools and reporting platform support those plans.
  • Work with the PopJam editorial team to ensure they have the necessary tools to deliver an awesome content experience for users of PopJam.
  • Drive cross-functional teams to deliver a product which is on-time and in keeping with the product requirements.
  • Own the development and creation of the product roadmap for international products.
  • Experience with kids’ content, kids’ apps, online games or kids’ online services.
