Product Manager - Staffing and Attendance

At Famly, we’re looking for a Copenhagen-based Product Manager to lead a new product team in the crucially important and challenging Staffing and Attendance domain.

And Famly are...? Well it all started when our co-founder Henrik’s daughter was ready to start at daycare. He couldn’t believe the amount of work being done on paper - and how distant he felt from his first child during the day. The paper ‘parent’ books they exchanged once a month just weren’t cutting it. Together with his friend, our co-founder and CEO Anders, they set about solving that.

These days, the 75 of us building Famly talk about trying to do two things for our 3,200 customers:

  • Giving children the best possible start to life.

  • Championing the vital work that goes into making that happen.

We do it with software that brings hundreds of thousands of parents closer to their child’s day while they’re away from them. We also make financial, pedagogical, and planning tools for more than 34,000 childcare professionals, saving them hours and reducing their admin stress.

Ultimately, that gives them more time and headspace for the little ones that really matter. Come help us make that happen.

What you'll be doing:

You’ll be leading our Staffing product team, which is arguably the team with the most opportunity to help in improving the finances of nurseries on a wider scale. The opportunity lies in ensuring that the nursery is appropriately staffed and operating at a healthy occupancy level, as this means financial stability and ultimately secures the quality of the care that can be provided to the children.

To do this you will:

  • Gather key insights and perform market and industry research to inform the product strategy and which problems to tackle next.

  • Work together with the Head of Product in defining the product strategy and setting ambitious goals for the team.

  • Own the process of discovering, prioritising, and specifying new features/projects in the team. This includes working together with the UX designer in conducting user research, analysing user behaviour, and formulating solutions.

  • In collaboration with the Director of Engineering, you’ll help establish and launch this new product team consisting of new and existing Famly team members.

  • Work together with other team members in planning and executing on these goals.

  • Ensure the overall quality of what is shipped to customers.

In short: It'll be your responsibility to make sure the right thing gets developed at the right time at the best possible quality.
