Product Manager - Subscriptions

Twitch Commerce is a mission-driven organization that helps creators earn a living on Twitch by building, launching, and managing revenue products that delight creators and viewers. The Subscriptions PM will be a core member of the Growth team for Twitch’s largest business, Subscriptions.  The candidate will be responsible for customer-facing products and features. In a given week, the Subs PM will address all stages of product management, from defining vision and customer need, to product portfolio management, to product spec writing, through to launch and post-launch operations.  

The ideal candidate will demonstrate customer obsession, broad strategic thinking, and dive deep on customer journeys and technical issues.  Candidate will operate with significant autonomy and discretion and will influence our team, other teams across organizations and external teams.

Responsibilities

  • Leads working backwards documents for product releasesIdentifies innovations or performs experiments to create products that increase customer value of the product roadmap
  • Contributes to business planning (budgeting and Quarterly Product Reviews)
  • Owns one-to-two year view of how the product portfolio serves customer needs
  • Makes trade-off decisions on multiple products in a portfolio
  • Develop customer requirements (user stories, use cases) and business requirements for either a component of a large product or a narrow product
  • Determines release goals for a narrow product or components of a large scale product, prioritizes features according to customer value and adjusts through implementation as necessary
  • Identifies issue that will keep the product from delivering on time and/or with the desired requirements and communicates with leadership; assesses the alternative to resolve (“path to green”) and builds a plan for resolution
  • Owns and delivers on post-launch reviews and customer feedback, drive the associated actions, and incorporates feedback into future launch plans
  • Engages externally with customers to identify key product issues in market; solicits feedback on product roadmap
  • Leverages data analysis skills to research difficult or ambiguous problems, leading cross-disciplinary team where necessary and communication recommendations to senior leadership

Requirements

  • Prior experience as PM in a consumer-facing product
