The Product Marketing team is tasked with exciting, educating and energizing customers, partners and community influencers with simple and compelling product stories that showcase how Aurora is delivering on our mission to deliver the benefits of self-driving transportation.

We deeply understand the market, our customers and our products to define a product narrative that is memorable and engaging, elevates Aurora’s presence in the market, connects with customers and shows how we will change the world through authentic, creative and innovative storytelling.

In this role, you will

  • Participate in the crafting of Product Narratives to communicate what we are building in service of our mission, the outcomes we deliver to our customers, why it’s awesome, and how we are competitively placed to win.
  • Actively excite the market by romancing the product truth to entice people to engage, learn more and gain confidence in self-driving technology.
  • Influence our Product Strategy by providing product teams with distilled and prioritized market and competitive intelligence, customer profiles and desired roadmap elements to aid in product investment decisions.
  • Build strong partnerships and collaborate across the company to capture viewpoints and perspectives ahead of driving alignment behind a common and consistent set of information.
  • Build up Ideal Customer Profiles to capture critical information about our key audiences to ensure we are messaging and connecting with them in ways that resonate and drive engagement.
  • Engage across the Marketing and Communications team to connect and engage with our audiences via our external facing channels. 
  • Drive the Aurora Horizon commercial GTM launch plan, crafting and collating key messages to align to major milestone moments and aligning internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain a set of product level competitive intelligence and market needs assessments to influence product strategy and messaging.
  • Lead the Aurora Connect product marketing, engaging with engineering, product and commercial teams to craft the narrative, build market facing messaging and customer ready product educational assets.

What we are looking for:

Product marketing is a diverse discipline, we look for you to either have these skills, have transferable skills from other experiences or be able to demonstrate you can deliver the outcomes these skills provide. You also do not need all of them, if you can do all of this, what will you learn!

Required Qualifications

  • Work across technical and commercial teams to gather perspectives, inputs and details and then distill into engaging messages.
  • Capture product truth and customer experiences to educate what a Day In The Life looks like for Aurora customers. 
  • Write customer ready messages to excite, energize and educate our audiences via formal and informal communication channels.
  • Be able to prioritize work items and drive outcomes against timelines.
  • Have a passion for the Autonomous Vehicle industry and be excited to be a part of launching the first commercial self-driving trucking lane.
  • Understand the process of launching a new product to market and aligning key teams and GTM activities.

Desirable Qualifications 

  • Previous experience in the AV, transport, automotive or freight industries.

The base salary range for this position is $108,000 - $162,000.  Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
