Product Marketing Manager, for on-demand transit software

Role Summary:

This is an opportunity in the exciting and fast-growing transportation technology industry.  You’ll join a small and rapidly growing revenue team (four at present!) and accelerate the company’s growth trajectory (already 100%+ year-on-year).  As Product Marketing Manager you’ll strategize and execute the company’s market messaging and expansion strategy. You will develop an understanding of urban mobility challenges faced by transit operators and articulate how RideCo’s on-demand platform can uniquely solve their problems.  You’ll develop a channel partner strategy and support the sales team in executing it.  You’ll collaborate with product management, client success, marketing, and sales teams to align their efforts with our go-to-market strategy. Your responsibilities and contributions will include:

  • Gather market intelligence to understand transit operators, their challenges, buying process, and evaluation criteria. Apply your insights to enhance the company’s market segmentation, positioning, messaging, and customer acquisition strategy, resulting in 2x shorter sales cycles and higher value contracts.
  • Plan and develop marketing assets for the various buyer personas and for each stage in the buying cycle. Support the revenue team with sales presentation templates, proposals, messaging, and content that increases our win rate by 50%.
  • Collaborate with the client success team to write and publish e-books/white papers on best practices for on-demand transit services. Enhance RideCo’s brand as an innovator and thought leader in the industry.
  • Enhance and maintain the company website. Develop and deliver webinars that evangelize the value of on-demand transit in today’s dynamic environment.
  • Craft and help execute marketing campaigns. Grow inbound qualified lead generation 2-fold.
  • Map the ecosystem of channel partners in the value chain and buying process. Support the revenue team in leveraging channel partners to enter new markets.
  • Influence the product roadmap in collaboration with the client success team and product manager
  • Model, measure and continuously improve customer acquisition costs, customer lifetime value, and related metrics.

 

Preferred qualifications and experience:

  • Education: Degree in engineering/ business/ marketing or related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in technology marketing or sales or product management role(s), preferably in a B2B setting
  • Writing experience demonstrated through a portfolio of presentations/ case studies/ proposals
  • Tools: Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite and relevant design/ presentation tools
  • Willing to travel at least 10% of working time, as needed.
  • Management consulting or startup company experience is an asset
  • Location: Based in Waterloo, Ontario or willing to relocate

  • Base Salary: $70K - $100K + performance-based commissions/bonus + stock options.
