We have an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Production Assistant with Summit Bodyworks in Fort Lupton, CO. Summit Bodyworks is a premier builder of Tool trucks, Mobile libraries, and other specialty vehicles. Every truck we build is customized from the chassis up; we build our vehicles to suit the needs and desires of our diverse customer base, from fortune 100 companies to independent owner operators. Our Production Assistant must be a motivated team player who is committed to helping our production team in a state of the art facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work as a liaison between the production floor, warehouse, engineering department and procurement teams
  • Problem solving mind-set
  • Ability to coordinate with several departments to deliver a resolution
  • Maintain relationships with business critical supervisors
  • Communicate needs of production team to streamline assembly process
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

  • Frequent mobility and or standing, bending, stooping for prolonged periods of time.
  • Requires lifting up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Requires stretching to reach for items up to 50 pounds
  • Requires working in areas which are not ventilated or air-conditioned
  • Requires eye-hand coordination sufficient to grab and hold objects
  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity
  • Requires working under stressful conditions
  • Requires working in a fast-paced environment where urgency is critical
  • Requires a normal range of hearing and vision
  • Must understand instructions and or concepts and relaying this information to other individuals or departments
  • Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to e responsive and highly efficient with relaying information
  • Detailed oriented
  • Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pas a post-offer background check, physical and drug screening

JOB DETAILS:

  • Type: Hourly
  • Compensation Range: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
  • Bonus Eligibility: No
  • Reports to: Engineering Manager
  • Shift: Monday – Friday from 6:00am – 2:30pm
  • Closing Date: Until Filled
