CLEAR is hiring a

Production Developer (Full Stack)

New York, United States

CLEAR is devoted to making people’s lives easier yet more secure. Using biometric technologies, we safely speed people through airports and sports stadiums. In the near future Clear will use a public API to enhance experiences in places like hospitals, office buildings, and aerospace companies, and will be embedded within all types of biometric devices.

We’re looking for technology lovers to help support our rapid and exciting growth by becoming founding members of a product innovation and prototyping team. This team will both change Clear and the face of biometric enrollment and security.

You’re someone who looks to innovate and solve problems first, and worries about the technology needed second. You’re thirsty to learn and explore: from biometric modalities, to new languages, to BlockChain implementations, to embedding secure remote video, and to learning DoD level security. To you a fun day involves trying and delivering something new and exciting.

You’ll implement new and scalable algorithms, biometric modalities, and innovative features into our products and shepherd the software to successful introduction.

You will also have the opportunity to build innovative systems, requiring sophisticated implementations of complex algorithms, in mission critical, highly secure environments. And you’ll get to partner in the design, enhancement and management of the Clear public facing API, including serving as the face of Clear to a potentially large engineering community. You’re comfortable working collaboratively on complex projects as well as individually and proactively on the next big innovation.

  • Researching and investigating new technologies for the purpose of applied solutions and/or innovation
  • Internal and external expert in the design and support of the Clear API
  • Managing and working with the Clear developer community
  • Partner closely with the Clear back-end technology team
  • Build prototypes for next generation software and POC sales opportunities under (sometimes) tight deadlines
  • Help clients solve thorny issues
  • Occasionally travel as a technology evangelist

  • Good understanding of data structures and algorithms
  • Knowledge in one or more of the following areas is a strong plus: biometrics, distributed computing, security and optimization, clustered file systems, machine learning, neural networks, and speech processing.Experience in one or more of the following programming environments is a plus: web services and applications (including HTML5, JavaScript, and server-side programming); iOS and/or Android app development; real-time systems
  • BS, MS, PhD in computer science, engineering, physics, or a related field is strongly preferred.
