Manage production lines to meet product standards and supervise up to 40 employees.


Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Treat co-workers fairly, consistently and with respect.
  • Meet product standards; i.e., thru-put and cents per pound.
  • Assure a safe work environment.
  • Produce a safe and wholesome product to the required specifications.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork on a daily basis; i.e., HACCP, pounds produces, complete job packets, etc.
  • Follow all guidelines and procedures as set forth by AdvancePierre Foods; i.e., discipline, attendance, etc.
  • Play close attention to housekeeping issues on the lines.
  • Maintain or improve product yields and thru-put on a by-item basis.
  • Must communicate effectively to promote smooth, timely operation processes and cooperation between departments and employees.
  • Responsible for training and developing employees in all areas related to their jobs.
  • Responsible for hiring employees for the line
  • Other responsibilities as directed by management.

Directly supervises up to 40 employees in production. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees (includes the ability to promote the employee); planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university that has been accredited by the Department of Education; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Basic understanding of the formulation process
Basic understanding of the equipment on their job specific line
Complete all safety requirements
Demonstrated knowledge of and application of Statistical Process Control
