Overview
 
The goal of this document is to provide a detailed description of the role of a Program Manager as it relates to a multi-stadium deployment. Extreme Networks is the official Wi-Fi provider for MLB and as such, is expected to implement Stadium infrastructure solutions following best practices and utilizing the best resources available.
 
Program Managers are responsible for overseeing the development of programs that support an organization’s objectives.  A Program Manager is responsible for designing, coordinating and improving the internal and external programs of an organization. Program Managers work across a range of departments to deliver programs that align to the organization’s strategic vision.  Program Managers work across multiple projects to ensure consistency, quality, and the success of multiple projects.

Roles and Responsibilities:
 
The following are considered part of the roles and responsibilities of the Program Manager:
 
2.1 Overall Project responsibilities:
 
Organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization.
Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.
Creating and managing long-term goals.
Developing a budget and operating plan for the program.
Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
Writing program funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of services.
Managing a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.
Ensuring goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality and team member performance.
Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services.
Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.
Analyzing program risks.
Working on strategy with cross functional teams included but not limited to sales, marketing, services, operations, etc.

Qualifications
 
The following are considered mandatory qualifications for the Project Management role:
 
Bachelor or master’s degree in business or related field
+20 years of experience in managing enterprise programs and various rollouts in the technology industry
Global Enterprise deployments in the technology field
Understanding of networking principles
Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles
