Program Manager

About the Role

As Program Manager, you will manage the delivery of a collection of project outcomes to support the priorities of our largest customer account in Sydney. There will be a requirement to spend some time on-site with the customer to develop strong relationships.

Your primary focus is to work with Project Managers to ensure that contracted projects, whether Datacom or Customer funded, deliver on their purpose and contribute to the realisation of intended benefits and outcomes. Ensuring that each project (as defined via Statements of Work or Project Management Plans) is delivered at the required level of quality, to scope, within budget, on schedule and result in a high degree of positive customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do

As Program Manager you will:

• Establish and monitor project governance arrangements - ensuring that each project is managed within a sufficiently controlled framework that is highly visible to the Customer, efficient, effective and repeatable
• Ensure a high degree of discipline on scope and quality management - ensuring that project objectives and outcomes are clear, well documented, understood and agreed by all project stakeholders
• Provide oversight, guidance and support on schedule and dependencies management to ensure that project phases are delivered in the agreed timeframes
• Provide financial, resource and risk management for projects
• Undertake stakeholder engagement and management to ensure that Customer, Datacom and Third-Party motivations, requirements and expectations are understood and managed
• Develop and build on Customer relationships.

What you’ll bring

This is a senior leadership role, and we are looking for someone with extensive project management experience from within an IT service provider. Ideally you will have prior program or portfolio management exposure. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of large-scale government programs; exceptional scope, quality, and financial management skills; and the ability to manage and resolve complex issues. You will be passionate about delivering successful projects, able to negotiate a win/win solution for all parties and possess outstanding stakeholder management skills.
