Barbaricum is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Program Support Manager to join our Special Operations Forces. The Program Support Manager is a pivotal role responsible for the orchestration and management of host-nation entry visa applications, overseeing sensitive electronics, and SOF equipment accounts. The Special Operations Forces (SOF), SOCSOUTH is composed of a joint headquarters, three permanently assigned operational units, and CONUS-based deployed SOF. Our mission is to plan, prepare for, and, when directed, conduct special operations in support of USSOUTHCOM strategies, plans and operations.

SOCSOUTH requires specialized personnel trained with a high degree of relevant and current knowledge and situational awareness of SOF activities as well as other human and geo-political issues affecting SOCSOUTH plans and activities. This role is pivotal to planning, capabilities development support, and analysis are also needed to accomplish the SOCSOUTH mission. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage visa application programs, ensuring timely processing and adherence to international documentation requirements.
  • Administer sensitive accounts, including electronics and SOF equipment, maintaining inventory control and monthly audits.
  • Guarantee uninterrupted service delivery, managing fluctuating demands and maintaining support during peak periods.
  • Oversee contractor personnel schedules to ensure availability during designated hours.
  • Manage material inventory, equipment, and property for the SOCSOUTH Operations Directorate (J3).
  • Maintain expertise in Department of Defense logistics policies and procedures to support property accountability and control.
  • Utilize the Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-A) for accurate accounting of non-expendable property.
  • Coordinate visa-related matters, including travel documentation and immigration requirements for military and civilian personnel.
  • Drive to various Consulates and Embassies in the Miami Area for document processing and official engagements.
  • Serve as an authoritative source for visa application procedures and official documentation verification.
  • Liaise with high-level Consulate representatives to facilitate official visa acquisitions for USSOUTHCOM AOR SOF missions.
  • Support equipment requirements for partner nations, adhering to sections 2282/333 and 127e program guidelines.
  • Process visa applications for the command on weekly basis
  • Travel locally at least twice weekly for visa processing.
  • Strong coordination skills with the ability to manage complex documentation processes.
  • Work Schedule: Services are to be provided during normal duty hours, with flexibility to accommodate mission requirements and travel needs. 

Qualifications

  • Active Secret Clearance Required.
  • 10 years prior military experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of logistical experience with asset management/inventory control.
  • Knowledgeable on, and able to reference, official travel regulations and procedures.
  • 3 years’ experience working with GCSS-A or similar DoD inventory system.
  • Familiar with the process of facilitating VISA applications (i.e.: development of VISA application package/Embassy submittal/tracking status).
