Programs & Marketing Manager (Adoption Team)

The Adoption team at Khan Academy is responsible for taking our products to market. We build the partnerships, mobilize the communities, tell the stories and create the experiences that help students, parents and teachers master their learning challenges with Khan Academy. As a Manager on the Adoption team you’re a leader in the organization, helping to drive the future of Khan Academy by shaping the way our products are experienced. You work with stakeholders inside and outside the organization to conceptualize, build and execute initiatives and launch products that help bring a free world-class education to anyone, anywhere.

You are an experienced tech marketer who understands campaign development, creative production and partnerships. You’re problem-solving powerhouse tackling nebulous problems with structured thinking, bulletproof analysis and unparalleled creativity.



  • Work with the Product Management team to develop product marketing strategy from end to end for a Khan Academy product, e.g., driving adoption of the first exclusive, free SAT test prep product on Khan Academy
  • Drive and own all external facing initiatives relating to a Khan Academy product including product-specific marketing, PR, community programs, product launches and events
  • Work with internal marketing and PR teams to execute on product adoption goals
  • Cultivate meaningful relationships with senior leaders in partner organizations to drive community engagement
  • Identify Khan Academy’s opportunities in relevant markets to help guide product strategy


  • You have at least 4 years Product Marketing experience
  • You’ve worked in top technology companies and startups
  • You’re a problem solver by nature; you’re very comfortable gathering, analyzing, and drawing actionable, novel conclusions based on quantitative and qualitative data
  • You’re a master of process; you can organize roles and responsibilities on a team and make sure nothing falls through the cracks
  • You like to get things done and will do what it takes to ensure success
  • You’re a kind, collaborative, team player who is open to ideas from anyone
  • You’re invigorated by the possibility of helping provide a free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere
  • You’re available to work full time from our office in Mountain View, CA
