Position Summary:

The Project Manager will play an instrumental role in the development and success of the Under Armour Direct-To-Consumer digital customer experience. The Project Manager will be providing structure and organization for projects of various sizes for the DTC Digital organization. Reporting to the VP, DTC, Digital, this individual will interface with management, business, sales operations, creative, and engineering teams to manage concurrent projects of varying size, duration, and complexity. Success will require innovative thinking and attention-to-detail in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

This position requires a good mix of project management, product management and business acumen. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, fantastic attitude and be very comfortable managing and coordinating teams across multiple sites, functional areas and time zones.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Directly manage 3-4 comprehensive mobile/web application projects at any given time, which will include some combination of Front End Development, Support Infrastructure, and Content Production.
  • Directly support Go-To-Market strategies for appropriate businesses and products
  • Plan and build and lead risk mitigation activities, as appropriate, to ensure all key deadlines are consistently met on time and on budget
  • Drive project delivery through effective use of internal and client status meetings 
  • Manage and understand friction points as it relates to tools and technologies being supported across the DTC/Connected Fitness business
  • Lead cross-departmental training as needed on new or changed processes, new software, etc.
  • Execute post-release support / transition processes to ensure that product launches are successful and that products are set up to achieve adoption goals
  • Collaborate with vendors/partners to ensure that high quality products are delivered on time and in support of the Under Armour mission.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS or related field
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with project management in a technical or product organization
  • Career experience working in Software and/or Mobile industries managing commercial software releases preferred
  • Experience with Agile & SCRUM methodologies
  • Experience using JIRA (project and issue tracking software) or other similar products
  • Ideal candidate will have experience overseeing the planning and execution of multiple software releases during release cycles
  • Experience leading and driving product teams with aggressive timelines and dynamic process flows
  • Proven experience planning a complex release cycle
  • Ability to communicate cross-functionally and successfully interact with relevant groups and leadership across the organization
  • Ability to assess market analysis and create effective plans accordingly
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and POCs to product teams and leadership
  • Customer facing experience and presentation skills from executives to end users (customers) 
  • Some background in product management and/or engineering is a plus.
  • Some background in Retail/E-commerce and/or interest in sports are a plus.
