SocialCops is hiring a

Project Manager

New Delhi, India
Full-Time
At SocialCops, we are operating at the intersection of technology and data to bring data-driven decision-making to organizations ranging from the Government of India and United Nations to India's largest advertising agency. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and executing the solutions we provide for our partners from beginning to end.

This will mean working closely with the Sales & Strategy team to understand the problem statement and needs of our partners, and with the Research & Analysis and Product teams to problem solve, plan and deliver the best solution. Further, you will be the face of the organization while engaging with our partners — responsible for ensuring they're well on-boarded and aware of ongoing developments, and ensuring that our solutions are delivered as promised.

In this role, you will be expected to lead complex projects with a variety of partners, manage a multi-disciplinary team, coordinate with our partners, manage multiple stakeholders, keep the deployment is on track, and ensure high quality delivery for our solutions.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project management: You will be required to manage the deployments assigned to you end-to-end, from understanding the problem statement, to working with the internal team to devise the best solution, to planning how the deployment will be implemented.
  • Improve our platform's adoption and usefulness: You are not only expected to deliver solutions but also ensure that organizations adopt our solutions. As a Project Manager, you will need to work with our team to make sure everyone fully understands the scope of each deployment and creates the most relevant, effective solution for each partner.
  • Multi-stakeholder management: You will be required to manage multiple stakeholders associated with the deployment, both on the partner's end and internally. Different levels of stakeholders will need to be kept in the loop and involved in the decision-making process. You will be responsible for making sure this happens effectively and efficiently.
  • Team management: As the leader of a multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring people work well together, adhere to timelines, contribute effectively to the solution, and deliver high quality solutions.
  • Effective communication: Your role requires communicating effectively with all stakeholders involved in the deployment, both externally and internally. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) will be crucial in ensuring work happens seamlessly.
  • Delivery of the best solution: As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the team delivers the best solution to the partner. To ensure this, you will need to engage with the various stakeholders involved, and have a deep understanding of the problem statement, project context, and impact of the devised solutions.

No algorithm tells mayors the most optimized allocation of city budgets, no tool tells the ministry how to optimize medicine supply chains based on disease outbreak data, and no data set tells us whether girl toilets in schools are functional or not. Our decision-making platform is used by over 150 organizations in 18 countries – by mayors to decide budget allocations, by philanthropic organizations to decide strategic investments, by governments to decide sanitation interventions, and by nonprofits to decide on disaster relief measures.
