What you will bring to Rayn as a Public Health Intern

This internship offers hands-on exposure to the proposal development cycle, donor engagement processes, and stakeholder coordination in Pakistan’s public health consulting landscape. It is designed for early-career individuals seeking practical experience in business development, applied research, and technical writing.


As a Pubic Health Intern, you will support in the following areas:

  • Support proposal development for development-sector opportunities, including background research, literature reviews, secondary data compilation, and drafting of selected proposal sections.
  • Conduct desk-based research on donor priorities, calls for proposals, partner organizations, and emerging thematic areas relevant to the firm’s portfolio. 
  • Review and synthesize academic literature, policy documents, and grey literature to inform technical narratives and concept notes.
  • Prepare briefs, summaries, talking points, and presentations for internal use and for meetings with development partners, government stakeholders, and collaborating organizations.
  • Assist in compiling project information, organizational capability statements, and supporting documentation required for submissions.
  • Take notes and prepare minutes during internal and external meetings and follow up on agreed action items as directed.
  • Maintain organized records of proposals, communications, and reference materials in the team’s shared filing system.
  • Provide general support to the Public Health Specialist on ad hoc tasks related to the proposal pipeline.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Management, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related discipline.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to produce clear, well-structured, and professionally formatted documents.
  • Demonstrated research and analytical abilities, including the capacity to review literature, summarize information, and present findings in a structured and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in Google Docs, Google Slides, and Google Sheets.
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • A professional attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
