About the role:

We are looking for a Public Relations Consultant to execute our strategy against two particular GIPHY brand stories. You will focus on inserting GIPHY into a specific conversation around a (confidential) upcoming product release as well as support an ongoing brand story around the Presidential Elections. This is an opportunity to tie GIPHY’s past and future success to a market that reaches billions of users every day.

Leveraging your media relationships, we’re looking for a consultant who can insert GIPHY into existing conversations in the media as well as ensure ongoing coverage of specific GIPHY product releases, editorial moments, or content packages. You’ll be collaborating with our internal MarComms team as well as have access to partnering cross-functionally with teams including editorial, social and partnerships.

Requirements:

  • Available to start ASAP through end of October
  • 5-10+ years experience of hands-on tech/mainstream PR preferably with some experience focused on technology companies, start-ups or within client services/agency environments
  • Track record of executing campaigns across digital landscape and/or TV
  • Get’s the GIPHY brand, our work, and why GIFs are important
  • Strong ability to seed and shepard big stories and appearances on our behalf
  • Has personal relationships with HQ reporters at digital publications & TV outlets, analysts and influencers with extensive media relations
  • Solid knowledge of and passion for the digital media and tech news industries
