The Opportunity:

We are looking for a sales-focused Publisher Development Manager to join our team to lead customer recruiting and onboarding for JW Player's monetization offerings.  In this position, you will work collaboratively with Product, Sales, Partner Solutions and Engineering teams, with the goal of selling our publisher focused advertising products.  You will have the opportunity to influence the way JW Player manages online video and CTV ad campaigns across a range of premium publishers and broadcasters. This role is remote, and will support the sales team in NY, LA, and London.

As a Publisher Development Manager, you will:

  • Work closely with JW Player's core platform sales team to prospect, pitch and onboard existing and new publisher clients to JW Player's monetization offerings.
  • You will conduct proactive consultative needs analysis with prospective clients addressing business challenges and requirements, including the development of client centric product solutions with cost benefits.
  • Become an expert in JW Player's monetization offerings in order to encourage the adoption of demand sources, expansion of the publisher inventory pool and provide feedback internally on publisher needs.
  • Work with the team who manages all day-to-day administrative operations associated with publisher onboarding, including documentation, operational set-up and ongoing account maintenance, training for external teams.
  • Drive initiatives around recurring reporting, analysis of data, and provide insights to internal groups, publishers, and partners based on findings.

Requirements for the role:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of business or publisher development experience and working closely with account managers, preferably in online programmatic advertising.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of multiple aspects of the digital video advertising industry, including existing relationships with publishers.
  • Self-starter with a passion for working in a customer-focused, rapidly evolving and largely undefined industry.
  • Outstanding communication, problem solving, prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Collaborate with internal sales teams to drive new business with internal and external customers, with a focus on evangelizing our advertising focused products.
  • Goal-oriented with a sense of urgency and passion for success.

Bonus Points:

  • Customer support and/or ad operations experience.
  • Data analytics, including business intelligence tools such as Looker.
  • Broadcaster experience and industry connections, specifically around CTV.
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience

Interview Process:

  1. Initial Screen
    • 15-30 minute conversation with a member of the hiring team learn more about your background and interests
  2. Hiring Manager Screen
    • 30-60 minute conversation where the Hiring Manager or someone from the team deep dives into your experiences
  3. Team Interview
    • 1-2 hour interview where you meet with various team members across the organization
  4. Final Interview
    • 30-60 minute interview where you will meet with some of our senior leaders

*Benefits are subject to location and can change at the discretion of the Company. 

According to New York City local Council laws, local New York City applicants residing in and performing this role in New York City will receive an annual salary dependent on experience between USD $110,000.00 - USD $140,000.00. In addition, applicants qualify for the benefits listed above. 

The salary band is not applicable to applicants outside of New York City. Applicants located outside of the New York City area will have an adjusted rate equitable and competitive to their residing and surrounding area.
